Day #29

f4.5  1/10  ISO 200

day 29Time.

This is a photo of my watch.  It’s blurry on purpose because I hope it demonstrates how time can get away from you sometimes when you want it to and sometimes when you don’t want it to.

The diagonal, silver rectangles in this image are the watch hands sweeping by extolling the importance of acting, being, doing, living in the moment, not the past for that is gone, not the future for that has yet to arrive, but the present, the here and now.

I’m suddenly reminded of “A Christmas Carol” by Charles Dickens. That book, a personal favourite, mentions similar themes with the Ghost of Christmas Past, the Ghost of Christmas Present, and the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come.  When I see something I like to take a photo of I often think of it’s connection to, memory of, or relation with something else in my life or something else I’m thinking about.  This photo of my watch is one of  connection to the present.
